Indian visa for medical treatment: hospital letters…

Treatment in India needs a medical visa, a hospital letter and, for anyone travelling with you, an attendant visa.

The hospital letter

Ask the hospital for a letter naming the patient, the treatment and the dates. It must match the dates on your application.

Up to two attendants can apply with the patient. Each needs their own documents and a letter explaining the relationship.

How much money should my bank statement show?

There is no fixed number, but it should cover your trip comfortably. We look at your statement and advise before you submit.

Can my family apply together?

Yes. Add everyone in one application. Children need their birth certificate and both parents’ consent.
