“20 kg” on a ticket can mean one bag or two, and the cabin allowance has its own size rule. Here is how to read your allowance before you pack.
Three kinds of baggage
A personal item goes under the seat: a handbag or a laptop bag. The cabin bag goes in the overhead bin, usually up to 7 kg and 55 × 40 × 20 cm. Checked bags travel in the hold, usually 20 to 30 kg on economy fares.
Extra kilos
Extra baggage costs less when you add it to the ticket than when you pay at the airport. Tell your expert before the ticket is issued.
